Pause and Play Dough

Today was our last day before we have to get back to the real world. Our lesson at church was about pushing the pause button. Putting life on hold to enjoy the moment and about resting. We didn't do alot of resting today but we definitely pushed pause and enjoyed some time together.

Thanks to my friend Teri we made play dough today. She was was so right....this stuff is way better than the store bought stuff. Henry helped me make it. (All except the cooking part) Then Emma and Henry got to choose their colors and help mix them in.

So here are the directions: ‎1 c. water, 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. salt (unless it is all used up from melting ice on your sidewalk), 2 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 T. oil. Cook in pot, stirring for 3 minutes. It will thicken up in no time. Divide and use food coloring for favorite colors. Better than store bought play dough.
Emma has also been begging to make a big top cupcake. She made this all by herself!! All I did was the frosting. She even cracked the eggs. She was so proud of herself and I think it looks great.

Soon after our projects were finished the Crowley's came over for dinner and to watch the super bowl. We had such a nice visit.

It was another great day...
