Bursting With Pride

A few months ago I posted about my husband and girls training for a kid's marathon. The girls ran 25 miles with Shad over a period of a couple of months. Then today they finished up with a 1.2 mile run for a total of 26.2 miles. A FULL MARATHON

There were tons of kids there raising money for Cancer and learning about living healthy

Here is Shad, Emma, and Alex getting started. There were lots of people so Shad carried Emma until it thinned out.

Here is Alex running in. Can you find her. There were army volunteers along the side of the roads running the kids in. They would race them the last couple of yards or run in front of them dangling a medal to get them to finish strong. It truly brought tears to your eyes.

Alex was so proud of herself! She did GREAT!!!!

Shad put Emma on his shoulders to help her celebrate an AMAZING accomplishment. I am so proud of all 3 of them. Shad is teaching them a life long lesson. Taking care of your body and helping others at the same time.

My fabulous family!! Aren't they beautiful
I am so proud of my girls. After the marathon there was a kids corral with face painting, games, bounce house...etc. The lines were VERY long

Emma was so proud of her medal. We have decided to ask Gracie, Belle, and Blair to join us next year. This is going to be an annual event for us.

As a treat after the run we went to Meer's for burgers....YUMMY!!!
