VBS

This video is of the kids at the Hang Time Skit and singing worship music. If you look at all the little ones really closely you can pick out Emma dancing up a storm...did I mention we go to a Baptist Church. LOL!!!

This past week we had VBS at Colonial. It was so great and so exciting. We had it from 6:00pm-8:30pm so that working parents could participate and bring their kids. All week we taught the kiddo's about serving family, friends, our community, our country and other countries that need our help. Their shirts say impact 2008 instead of VBS because we are going to have a couple of events over the summer where the kids can wear their T-Shirts and participate in Community service.

Shad taught the 1st graders and I worked the nursery. There were several kids that really touched Shad, you know working with VBS blessed us just as much as it blesses them. The nursery was a great way to get me into baby mode and I enjoyed visiting with the other workers so much. We usually had about 6 or 7 babies for 6 workers. GREAT ODDS!!

Emma got to go because we were working other wise she would have been to young. We also got to take Gracie. She was a bit nervous but warmed up to the new environment really quickly. The kids made arts and crafts, played lots of games, had water balloon fights, and got to go to see Hang Time Skits in the auditorium. (Hang Time is our Sunday morning children's Service)

The week was exhausting work and teaching. We didn't get home one night before 9:00pm and Shad was driving Alex back out to her mom every night. Emma and Grace were also attending Fairway Church of Christ VBS in the mornings with Laurie and David. It is so great for them to get to experience different sides of Christianity. I want my children to know that it doesn't matter what denomination you are we all love and follow Jesus's teachings.
