9 years and going strong

For mother's day and our 9 year anniversary, Shad got me eyeliner tattoo's. I was so excited and so scared all at the same time. Tina from permanent cosmetics did the job. She has 16 years of experience and I know several women that she has done.

The best part is that she has developed a numbing cream with a local pharmacist. It was great. I didn't feel anything. Only thing that hurt was that I opened my eyes while the cream was on and some got in my eye. That hurt!!! and hurt for several hours. I was unable to drive home so I am lucky Shad did go with me. Not to mention I wanted his opinion of what we were going to do. The entire apt took about 2 hours.

Recovery: 3 days. I promise that is it. The first day I had a hard time because of the cream in my eye. That night I felt really good. Just my eyes were SUPER SWOLLEN.

This picture is on Saturday. You can kind of see how swollen my eyelids were. I look like I had been beat but without the bruising. I had gel packs to put on for 10 min at a time that really made them feel good. To keep me out of sight and as another great treat for our anniversary Shad took me to OKC. We stayed at our Condo there and accomplished basically 3 months worth of dates in one day. First we went and saw Star Trek and Wolverine back to back. They were both great. If I had to pick a favorite I would say that we would buy the blue ray for Star Trek. You know the kind of movie you could watch over and over so I guess we liked it the best but we really loved both of them. We did grab a bite at Chick-fil-a between the movies. I know your are so jealous.

After the movies we changed and went to a great dinner at Michaels. Yummy Italian food. Thanks David for the recommendation. Then after dinner we went to the Lion King Musical. It was AMAZING!!! I literally teared up several times at the beauty. We both really enjoyed it and would love to see it again. If you ever get the chance don't miss out.


Henry was so glad when we got home. He crawled into my bag. Don't go without me again...
