My 30th Birthday Surprise
For the past 8 years of marriage, Shad has never been able to surprise me. He just can't keep a secret. However, last night I got the BEST surprise ever. He planned a 30th Birthday party for me.
Here's how it started!! Shad mentioned wanting to get his Tattoo for completing the White Rock Marathon last December. My sister called and said that Nancy (our favorite babysitter) was coming to their house to keep Belle and Grace while they went to dinner with a client and Gracie had really been missing Emma and wanted her to come over and play. So I thought what a GREAT opportunity for us to go out and get Shad's Tattoo and go to dinner. Then I invited Jen and Frank to come with us. And then I called mom to see if she could watch Henry while we went. I was so excited. I even called and made an apt at the tattoo place.
When Saturday came I got everything ready. My dad came over because I thought he was going with us to get Shad's tattoo and my mom was here to watch Henry. While I was feeding Henry Shad got up and closed the blinds. He said when he was running he noticed you could seen in and that the maid must have opened them too much. (CLEVER!!!)
At 4:00 Shad walked to the door and said...Frank and J are here lets go. When I walked to the door I saw a man in a suite with Frank...I thought he was a Jehovah's wittiness or something. LOLl!!! Then I looked outside and saw J, Frank, Laurie, David, Jennifer G. and Chad, and a LIMO! I was so shocked!!! Shad had even gone and gotten a cooler of drinks and had it ready and I never knew. Needless to say we didn't go get the tattoo. Instead we drove to Dallas and ate at my favorite place. Javier's (sp) YUMMY!!! When we got there my friends Anna, Charisse and Todd, and Casey and Sherri were there also. WOW!!!! Shad even got a WONDERFUL Tres Leche Cake ( I know Wendy and Robb are so jealous) We had an amazing time and I was totally surprised. Shad had been planning this for months. And I fell right into pocket with all my planning. It couldn't have been better... He amazes me.
I will post more pictures when I get them from everyone else. I lost my purse for a while at dinner but we found it. So I am missing our big group shot.
Thanks to everyone who came. YOU ROCK!!! And I can't thank you enough you made me feel so special. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Wish you could have been there BoBo and Mike See ya next weekend we will celebrate both our birthdays then!!!

Please tell Shad to call Marc next summer and give him some good ideas like this one. He even fooled you by doing it early!!!! Is yours the 1st or 3rd? I can't remember. I know it's you, me and Chris Wilson but I can't remember the order. Regardless, Happy Birthday!!!
I am so glad you had such a great time! I was so bummed that Mike and I didn't get to go. Mom and Dad were already planning on being here! :) I can't wait to hear all about it Friday. Way to go Shad!
