Our 4th was so perfect. We spent the morning shopping for camp clothes for Alex and uniforms for Emma. (Emma will be attending Christ Academy for 4K) Then we ate lunch and headed home to make some homemade Heath Bar ice cream.
Once the ice cream was ready to freeze we headed to JoJo's for family time. We ate dinner there and the girls all got to swim and play. Henry and I stayed inside most of the time. We did get a nice breeze and the temp dropped so Henry and I got to visit outside for a little while.
Just before dark we headed home. Henry went to bed and the rest of us went in back to light sparklers. Emma was a little scared to hold one. And when we finally got her too ash dropped on her foot and burned her. I don't know if we will ever get her to try again. Shad and Alex had a great time playing.
It was the perfect 4th. No running around just relaxing.
